I just finished Piranesi, by Susanna Clarke. I was looking for something easy to read while traveling and it turned out this was a great selection.

I was originally put off by the author – I had attempted to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell many years ago and found it incredibly dull at the time. This outing from Clarke avoided that issue. The House was full of new wonders to discover and the pacing kept things moving to a satisfying conclusion.
