I finished The Last Continent, by Terry Pratchett. I got the Collector’s Library edition and it’s a beautiful hardcover.

I was contemplating why I don’t love the Rincewind stories and I think it’s because things just happen to him. He has been described as a walking “No” in the face of the universe’s (Terry Pratchet’s) YES. You can’t get to know and love Rincewind, as he’s just an empty spot where you insert the plot.

Thankfully he does come packaged with The Luggage, which is always interesting. And often the Librarian, who is a treat. Overall, while not a favorite, there was plenty to enjoy in this episode of Rincewind Goes to Australia.
